Affiliate marketing is marketing on the internet where you can advertise for a shop or a company's products and receive commissions on the purchases made through clicks on the link, you created on your blog or website. The affiliate company in turn pays out commissions to affiliates. Amounts vary between different products and services.

This form of marketing has become very big here in Sweden and in other countries. The best-known affiliate companies are: Adrecord, EuroAds Amazon, Commission Junction (CJ), ClickBank, Amazon, ShareASale, Witty and WordOn. Some examples of famous Swedish affiliate networks are: Adtraction, Tradedoubler and Zanox.

The key to success with being an affiliate for various programs is to build a content-rich website, with useful information regarding a specific topic or theme.

It is important not to be too hasty to start up a website or blog to post affiliate links, but do it calmly. It is also important to choose the niche and think through carefully what page should have content. Not just quickly throw up a site or blog to add a number of different affiliate links.

You need to start by building credibility and the best way to do that is to write about something that you already know a lot about. A big advantage is that you are passionate about the topic and what you are doing. Thought long about what I would choose, but then got stuck for e-business and e-marketing. One of the reasons was that I wanted to teach me more about that topic. There are so many different areas to choose from, so the key is to find something you like. It is obviously hard work and a strong interest that drives me forward all the time. In the past year, I have also learned to write blogs and make my own sites. There also was a new world for me. I can heartily recommend to work as an affiliate.
