Everyone has a plan to make something of themselves in life. But what if something goes terribly wrong, what do you do?
Taking a look at your situation as you figure out what you're going to do for the long-term, try to think of how you're going to bring in an extra income or something that will help take care of you and your family.
If you're disabled and you absolutely can not work, depending on what your disability is, you can find things online, if you have a computer, write articles, join forums, join advertising sites or go on ClickBank and advertise the digital products that they have to offer. Of course all of these are free to join, it would keep you busy and I promise you won't lose your mind doing this. No experience is required to do any of these.
If you're unemployed for some reason make sure you "pound the pavement" as they say. After you get done with your search and all the businesses are closed for the day just come home relax for an hour and get on your computer and do what I suggested to the disabled person. It will help you keep a float hopefully and keep you busy so you don't waste all your time worrying about something that you have no control over at that time.
If you do decide to do something online and you do want to advertise beware of advertising with Craigslist! There are a lot of people out there that will try to trick you and try to steal your money. Having a plan and sticking by it will get you far.
I don't like to see people hurting or suffering when there is still hope. I'm in the same boat and refuse to give up. I myself is disabled and waiting on disability while my wife works, so I decided I'm not just going to set in my recliner and sulk because I can't do what I used to do. I feel that if I can help others try to get by, if not exceed to the highest level they can without having to count on the government then I've done what I've set out to do.
I do believe that when the chips are down people need to get up and fight back!
God Bless everyone that are disabled or unemployed!
